Historical currency reference rate A line chart showing the selected reference rate over time.

What the cost estimate means

The reference conversion is the amount implied by the dated benchmark. The estimated amount received reduces that rate by your markup percentage, then subtracts the flat fee. A broker may apply costs differently, so compare the final amount shown on its confirmation screen.

Where this helps

  • Compare deposit, withdrawal, and account-currency conversion offers.
  • See whether today’s reference rate is high or low relative to recent observations.
  • Model the combined effect of a percentage markup and a fixed charge.
