How we rank prop firms

A prop firm sells an evaluation, not a trading account, so our reviews focus on the rules that decide whether you ever see a payout: the drawdown type (static, trailing or end-of-day), consistency and news-trading rules, profit targets, evaluation fees and refunds, payout schedules and the payout share, and how rule changes are communicated.

The ranking orders firms by composite score. Trader ratings weigh heaviest because payout experience is the fact that matters; the editorial assessment checks the published rules against trader reports and documents changes over time; ratings from independent external platforms add the wider picture. Disputed payouts and unannounced rule changes are documented in the incidents section and linked from the review.

Passing an evaluation does not guarantee a payout, and simulated accounts do not carry the protections of a regulated brokerage account. Read the rule book on each review before you pay an evaluation fee.
